Financial Adviser, Mark Timmins is celebrating five years’ service with Four Oaks Financial Services. Mark joined our team in 2014 from Lloyds Bank where he was a Financial Consultant. In this role he was a fully qualified Financial Adviser, but was only able to provide clients with certain products, and he had to adhere to the Bank’s procedures. Mark felt that he could provide a better service for his clients in terms of choice and speed, by working with us.
In the past five years there have been many changes in the Financial Services sector, for example auto enrolment was introduced and Mark has done a great deal of work with businesses on this, which has led to working with individuals within the businesses. His passion is helping people with their pensions and investments, and Mark says that the introduction of our Lifestyle Financial Planning approach and software has made a big difference to his clients. He recalls that his best memory of the last five years was when he was able to use Lifestyle Financial Planning to illustrate to a client how close he was to being able to retire, and as soon as he was able to, he did. For Mark, this typifies the role of a Financial Adviser, which is to help people to achieve their goals, not talking about financial products and services.
Mark continues to invest in his own skills and knowledge, and is now also qualified to give advice on Equity Release and Long Term Care planning, which are specialist areas of financial planning.
In recognition of his five years of service Mark received a certificate and a gift from the company, which he used to treat himself to an upgrade of his home cinema equipment.
The value of pensions and investments and the income they produce can fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested.
Equity Release will reduce the value of your estate and can affect your eligibility for means tested benefits.
