Financial Adviser Testimonial

Financial Adviser Sutton Coldfield
Ian Cleghorn, Chartered Financial Planner

Ian Cleghorn has been a Financial Adviser at Four Oaks Financial Services since 2013. This is what he says:

“I’ve worked in financial services since 1985 and from 2007 to 2013, I worked on my own as a successful IFA. Then, with the changes that started to come in from 2012 I felt that as a bloke on my own I couldn’t continue, owing to the huge increase in additional admin, particularly records keeping, and compliance.

In 2013 I met Martin Ward, MD of Four Oaks Financial Services and he outlined the Financial Adviser contract, should I join his practice. He persuaded me that I would not be bogged down with admin and that I would have more time to spend with clients, so the fact that I would be making a contribution to the support team, didn’t matter. I could improve my earning ability as my time would be focussed on helping my clients, and I could see more clients.

I would urge any Financial Adviser to consider the bigger picture. Remember that working on your own when you reach your capacity, and there are no more hours in the day, you can’t improve your earnings. You need to strike a balance and you can earn the kind of remuneration you are looking for, with the time you have, working in a practice like this.

Martin Ward has delivered on everything he said he would. He believes in playing fair, and he does. Due to having more time, I am now one of the highest qualified advisers in the region and I can concentrate on delivering better client outcomes as a consequence. None of this would have been possible had I not become a member of this practice.”

Ian Cleghorn, Chartered Financial Planner.

This role will suit an experienced Financial Adviser, qualified to Level 4 Diploma status, eager to deliver a quality financial planning service to their client bank.

Whilst you will be working on a self-employed basis, we offer full paraplanning, file checking, compliance, client liaison and administrative support. We also provide marketing support, appointment making and will help you continue to build a high-quality client bank.

Our support functions are in-house and we will also ensure that our Advisers are fully compliant with MIFID2 legislation.

A highly competitive self-employed package will be offered to the successful candidate.

We also have a solution should the successful candidate be an Adviser looking for an exit strategy in the next few years.

Please contact Simon Trevelyan, Business Development Manager via email or give Simon a call on 0121 323 2070 for an informal discussion.
