Announcing Financial Adviser Karen Hagan Has Joined Our Team

Financial Adviser Lichfield
Karen Hagan, Financial Adviser

A very warm welcome to Karen Hagan who has joined our growing team of Financial Advisers who provide financial advice local to Lichfield.

Karen is fully qualified to give financial advice on all aspects of financial planning but has a passion for helping clients with pensions, investments and financial protection. With over 20 years in the financial services industry Karen has a broad and deep knowledge of all aspects of financial planning having been an assistant to a Financial Adviser, then a Paraplanner for 12 years before becoming a fully qualified Financial Adviser.

When working on behalf of her clients to action financial planning decisions, Karen’s background gives her a unique knowledge of what is required in terms of processes, documentation and timescales to ensure that everything she does meets their expectations.

We asked Karen why she chose to join Four Oaks Financial Services. “I wish I had known about the firm years ago.” Says Karen. “They are well-established, I’ve got great trust in Martin Ward [the MD] and the management team are very genuine people. I have a better work/life balance, and because I have the support of the admin and Paraplanning teams, I can spend quality time working on behalf of my clients. I am really enjoying being here.”

Karen plans to continue to study and progress in her career as a Financial Adviser and is planning to become qualified to give advice on long-term care planning and defined benefits pension transfers.

In her spare time Karen has obtained a degree in English Literature through the Open University, she has had a poem published in a poetry anthology, loves reading classic literature and enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. Welcome to the team!

The value of pensions and investments and the income they produce can fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested.

If You Are Born After 1960 You Have A 1 in 2 Chance of Cancer In Your Lifetime

Financial Advice LichfieldThis statistic is from Cancer Research UK. They also say that 50% of people survive cancer for 10 or more years. If you were to get a diagnosis for cancer or any other critical illness, this could have a devastating effect on your finances, at a very stressful time.

As Financial Advisers in Sutton Coldfield we can’t reduce the risk of being diagnosed with cancer or any other critical illness, but we can help you to reduce the financial impact of such a diagnosis.

A Critical Illness policy usually pays out a tax-free lump sum at the time of diagnosis. This will give you options, such as you could chose to give up work to concentrate on your treatment, knowing that the bills would be paid.  You could repay your mortgage, retire early or go on a holiday to recuperate after treatment.  It is desperately important to have these choices open to you and take financial pressures off you and your family.

Newer policies tend to cover a wider range of illnesses, but it is important to get advice from your Adviser to choose the policy that is right for your situation, or have an existing policy reviewed.

Our Advisers are trained and qualified to advise you all aspects of financial protection for you and your family and your business. Contact our Client Liaison Team on 0121 323 2070 to make an appointment.
