Our MD To Climb Snowdon For Local Stroke Unit

Financial Advice Sutton Coldfield
Martin Ward, Managing Director, Four Oaks Financial Services

Last September Peter Robinson, a good friend of Four Oaks Financial Services, had a stroke. This was sudden, unexpected and sent shock waves through the local business community.  Birmingham Heartlands Hospital Stroke Unit saved his life.  Peter wants others to benefit from the kind of support and help he received, and his team at Prizm Solutions wanted to do their bit too.

They decided to do the Three Peaks Challenge, and a Snowden climb to raise funds for the Stroke Unit.

Our MD, Martin Ward is joining Peter, his colleagues and a group of other local business people to climb Snowdon on the 8th June, and others will be doing the Three Peaks Challenge the same day.  If you would like to read more or make a donation to help them achieve their £5,000 target, please follow this Just Giving link.

Talk To Financial Advisers In Sutton Coldfield For Professional Financial Advice

Financial Advisers Sutton ColdfieldOne of the best lessons anyone can learn is to be careful where you get your information from. This is especially true when you are making decisions that affect your financial future.  Getting advice from professional Financial Advisers in Sutton Coldfield will ensure you have correct information that is based upon your unique circumstances.

When thinking about financial planning it is important to keep focused on your long-term goals. Market volatility, which means that investments can go up as well as down, is always likely, and although risk can never be eliminated altogether working with Financial Advisers in Sutton Coldfield will give you the opportunity to put in place strategies to reduce risk.

During your lifetime there are many financial decisions that will need to be taken. For example, at the age of 55 you can generally take 25% of your pension savings as a tax-free lump sum.  There is more than one way to do this, and getting help from Financial Advisers in Sutton Coldfield will help you decide which is the most appropriate way for you to do this.

On the subject of pensions, people change jobs more frequently nowadays, meaning that they can often have small pension pots with past employers that they fail to keep track off. Congratulations To Mark Timmins On 5 Years’ Service

Financial Adviser Sutton Coldfield
Mark Timmins, Financial Adivser

Financial Adviser, Mark Timmins is celebrating five years’ service with Four Oaks Financial Services. Mark joined our team in 2014 from Lloyds Bank where he was a Financial Consultant.  In this role he was a fully qualified Financial Adviser, but was only able to provide clients with certain products, and he had to adhere to the Bank’s procedures.  Mark felt that he could provide a better service for his clients in terms of choice and speed, by working with us.

In the past five years there have been many changes in the Financial Services sector, for example auto enrolment was introduced and Mark has done a great deal of work with businesses on this, which has led to working with individuals within the businesses. His passion is helping people with their pensions and investments, and Mark says that the introduction of our Lifestyle Financial Planning approach and software has made a big difference to his clients.  He recalls that his best memory of the last five years was when he was able to use Lifestyle Financial Planning to illustrate to a client how close he was to being able to retire, and as soon as he was able to, he did.  For Mark, this typifies the role of a Financial Adviser, which is to help people to achieve their goals, not talking about financial products and services.

Mark continues to invest in his own skills and knowledge, and is now also qualified to give advice on Equity Release and Long Term Care planning, which are specialist areas of financial planning.

In recognition of his five years of service Mark received a certificate and a gift from the company, which he used to treat himself to an upgrade of his home cinema equipment.

The value of pensions and investments and the income they produce can fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested.

Equity Release will reduce the value of your estate and can affect your eligibility for means tested benefits.
