Qualified Financial Adviser Joins The Four Oaks Team

Robin Place Financial Adviser at Four Oaks Financial Services
Robin Place, Financial Adviser

We are excited to announce that fully qualified financial adviser, Robin Place has become the latest member of our growing team. Robin not only has financial services experience but he also has a wealth of invaluable life experience and personal skills too. He worked for Lloyds Bank for 5 years and was a police officer for 25 years, which included serving as a detective and 5 years in the fraud squad.  Robin is very community spirited, he is currently a Parish Councillor in Hammerwich, near Lichfield and was formerly a governor at a local school for 8 years and a semi-professional football referee!

When Robin is not helping our clients with all aspects of their financial planning needs he spends his spare time being what he describes as “a disappointed Villa fan”, enjoying the theatre with his wife and spending time with his two children.

“I had a conversation with Martin Ward [Four Oaks Managing Director] and I was impressed with the ethical approach of the business, and his desire that things should be done the right way,” says Robin. “That’s when I decided to join the Four Oaks team.  Since starting working at Four Oaks I like the team ethic, everyone works together and everyone is going in the same direction.”

We are delighted that Robin has chosen to be part of our dynamic team and warmly welcome him to Four Oaks Financial Services!

A Message From Our Financial Adviser Team

Martin Ward
Managing Director

The result of the General Election is now known and we understand that some of our clients are concerned about the impact of this result and how this could affect their investments as we move into the Brexit negotiations and the new Parliament.

We want to reassure you that we are here to look after all your financial matters and take the burden of worry away from you. Your investments are held in a diversified portfolio which has been tailored to your own personal circumstances and attitude to risk. Remaining invested in this way will give you the best opportunity to go on to achieve your long term investment goals.

Leading up to the election we have all been presented with many differing views and opinions on how the result, especially in relation to Brexit could effect us. Please rest-assured that we, and the experts that actively manage your investments, are confident that by staying invested you’ll benefit in the medium to long-term.  Four Oaks Financial Services clients who are and remain invested in a diversified financial portfolio are well-positioned to see through any short-term market fluctuations.

If you are concerned about any aspect of your financial planning please contact your Adviser and they will be delighted to help.

The value of pensions and investments and the income they produce can fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested.

Getting Expert Advice On Private Medical Insurance Is Vital

Private Medical InsuranceOver the past few years the number of providers of private medical insurance has increased and so has the choice of plans that they offer which means there is a wide range of criteria to weight up too. The benefits of having PMI are pretty straight forward in that you generally reduce the amount of time you wait to see a consultant or get your hip replaced and you usually have a private room in which to recover in a nicer environment than an NHS ward.

However, researching what private medical insurance is available and matching this to your individual needs can be very time consuming.  At Four Oaks we talk to our clients about their financial planning needs in a holistic way, and provide local financial advice with the aim of helping our clients achieve their financial goals with appropriate protection should they fall ill or be unable to work.

At Four Oaks we compare private medical insurance from a panel of leading UK providers and offer expert advice on the most suitable cover for you based on your individual circumstances.
